Adverbs
An adverb relates to an adjective and a verb. You can find an adverb in a sentence by asking yourself; where,how,when and how often. Another way you can find the adverb is if the word has a -ly at the end of the word, such as; nicely, happily, and swiftly. Here are three examples of adverbs being used in a sentence.
Examples:
1.) In the hallway the students were walking swiftly.
2.) Tomorrow there is going to be a field trip at the beach.
3.) The dog looked at her cheerfully after they got home.
