I might have no relatives that are in the army but I still appreciate what people do to portent our country. I didn't do a lot on Veterans Day but I did buy a sweater that is red and I bought it because red is used in the USA flag. I wanted to write this blog based on Veterans Day because everyone in America should be thankful that we are a free country. People should also be thankful because people are risking their lives to fight for our country. I am thankful for everything I that the Veterans are doing for us. In my composition book I might write a story on Veterans Day. On the tv commercials I see that there are discounts in some stores for Veterans Day. I think that is showing their appreciation to the veterans around the USA, but that is my opinion. I am not sure if people also celebrate Memorial Day on Veterans Day as well. I know the difference between them and that is that Veterans Day celebrate the people who served in the wars and that are still alive. Memorial Day is people who have passed away so we can live in peace. I am not sure that any of my relatives have served in the past. If I knew someone who is serving in the army I would be so grateful that they are still alive. Once they come back I would celebrate their service to our country. In the chapter that I read in "Ten Letters that Americas Tell Their President" is about war and how it affects people who come back. Recently in our class we made a poster on our chapter. I think that our chapter was a good cheater to read. I hope that everyone in America will appreciate that the veterans do for us, risking their lives to save ours.
